How To Get Traffic To Your Website
How do you get traffic to your website? Start advertising now. It doesn't matter if you have a big or small budget, there are many ways to achieve this. Here are a couple:
- Buy ad space: Be it in a local or national newspaper, magazine or radio, this puts your website in front of many and can be very affordable. If you are on a budget, the full page ad or month long advertising campaign may not work now, but establish a budget and get prices on ad spaces. Don't be afraid to tell the media outlet your budget. They want your money and believe me they'll find away to get it. Of course your web address needs to be clear and present in your ad.
- Business cards, flyers, book markers, etc...: This is old school but very necessary. And oh yea, carry these with you at all time. If you are serious about your website then you already know the importance of networking. What happens when you end up chatting with someone but can't show them your site? BAM! Slide them a card, book marker or whatever. Of course your web address needs to be on the card.
- Use your car: You are already paying a gazillion dollars in gas just to drive it so why not turn that bad boy into a mobile billboard. This may sound cheesy but it works. I can't tell you how many times I've sat in traffic reading bumper stickers and/or door magnets. Of course your web address must be clear and present however it appears on your car.
These are just a few ideas. The point here is to get your website traffic. It is my experience that leads me to believe the best way to get online traffic is offline. Especially when 95% of internet users already know where they are going before they log on. Make your website become one of those places. No one is going to visit your website if they don't know it exist so it's time to get busy spreading the word. Oh yea, if you've noticed I didn't include online banners.
